ARCHIVE / What is PHP?

PHP is an embedded scripting language designed to be a faster and more efficient means of web applications programming than CGI applications. PHP code is essentially embedded into HTML and/or other web-related text files and processed whenever the file is accessed by a web browser. Because PHP is integrated into the web server software, there are no delays due to load times nor process duplications as there are with CGI applications.
